David F. Francis, 76, of Ellsworth, Pa., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021.
He was born Aug. 24, 1945, in Monongahela, a son of the late Frank and Nellie (Devroude) Francis.
David was a vocational technical school teacher for many years. He was also a car detailer and chauffeur. When not working, David enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially when hunting.
He was passionate about sports, especially golf, baseball, football, and basketball. David enjoyed relaxing and listening to music, his favorite song being "Victory in Jesus."
David is survived by his wife Mary Lou (Clark) Francis, a daughter; Melissa Lynn Francis, five sons; William David Francis, Troy Kinneer and wife Kim, Brent Kinneer and wife Kim, Chad Kinneer, Mark Kinneer and wife Bridget, grandchildren; Ashley Amanda Polischeck and husband Mike, Ronald Robert Brownback, Joshua Jarrett Browncheck, Cody Kinneer and wife Liz, Joshua Kinneer, Duncan Price, Maya Price, Makayla Kinneer, Dalton Kinneer, Cory McGinity, Kylie Ariel Williams, Park Kinneer, Bear Kinneer, and Loam Kinneer, great-grandchildren; Easton Michael Polischeck, Guage Ronald Polischeck, Avree Anthony Brownback, and Finn McGinity, three sisters; Sally Bachism, Sherry Sears, and Barbara Sethman and husband Ken, brotherin law and childhood friend Barry Clark and wife Debby, sisters-in-law; Sharon Liska and husband Joe, and Melinda King and husband Dan, best friend Chris Weiss and wife Michelle, and his fur babies "Zachary" and "BJ."
In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia Francis, his second wife, Mary Lou Francis, a sister Leah Sears, and two brothers; Merland and Franklin Francis.
Friends will be received in Wooddale Church of the Brethren, 776 Pleasant Valley Road, Connellsville, PA 15425 on Thursday from noon-2 p.m., the time of service with Pastor Charles D. Whipple officiating.
Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, David's family asks donations be made to: Wooddale Church of the Brethren in David's memory.
