Frances Stein Obituary

Frances Marie "Sis" Stein, 88, of Ligonier, formerly of Rector, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at the Ligonier Gardens.

She was born Oct. 19, 1928, in Springfield Township, a daughter of the late Milton Henry and Mary McCoy Henry Swope.

Sis was a member of the Rector United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Jay Jeffrey) Thomas of Lambertville, Mich.; a sister, Gladys Henry of Connellsville; a niece, Bonnie Henry of Connellsville; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and close family friend Donna Kiser of Ligonier.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Earl "Bud" Stein (2003); a son, Dennis Stein; and three brothers, Raymond, Clinton, and Emerson Henry.

Family and friends will be received from 9-11 a.m. Friday, the hour of service, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 402 E. Church St., Ligonier, with William Dempsey officiating.

Private interment will be in Snowball Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rector United Methodist Church, 624 Weaver Mill Road, Rector, Pa. 15677.
