Janet Maciejewski Obituary

Janet C. Kramarski Maciejewski, 65, a longtime resident of Mt. Pleasant, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, April 17, 2010, in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She was born in Mt. Pleasant, Feb. 23, 1945, a daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Catherine L. Tylka Kramarski, who died April 24, 1980 and Jan. 5, 1995, respectively. Janet was a graduate of Southmoreland High School's Class of 1962, and was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Everson. She was employed for many years as a cashier by the former Stop and Shop, Scottdale, and had previously been employed by Westinghouse, Youngwood. Janet's love and devotion were unconditional and never ending for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Janet will lovingly be remembered by her family; brother, Joseph Kramarski Jr. and wife, Fran, of Banning, Calif.; two sisters, Barbara Heishman, of Wahiawa, Hawaii, and Marlene Kramarski, of Ebensburg; her niece, Jodi Hall and husband, Don; her great-niece, Thayleah Hall; three uncles, Stan "Fettie" and John Kramarski, of Everson, and Ted Kramarski and wife, Joan, of Scottdale; and two aunts, Blanche and Veronica Tylka, of Mt. Pleasant. In addition to her parents, Janet was predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years, Donald L. Maciejewski, on July 26, 2007. Janet's family will greet friends from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale. Prayers of transfer will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home, followed by her funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Everson, with her pastor, the Rev. John A. Sedlak, as celebrant. Committal services and interment will follow in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Everson. The St. Joseph Society will recite the rosary at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a parish wake service at 2 p.m., both in the funeral home.
