John E. I. Henry, 77, of Connellsville, passed away Oct. 14, 2021, peacefully at Magee Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born Dec. 10, 1943, in Connellsville, the son of the late John and Pauline Henry. After graduating in 1961 from Connellsville High School, John served in the U.S. Army and retired from Buffalo Pittsburgh railroad. He was a life member of the VFW Post 21 Connellsville. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting and traveling with his family and friends and was the king of one liners. His passion was spending time with his grandchildren, Edward Jr. and Leah. John is survived by his sons, John C. Henry and wife Jill of Deatsville, Ala., Edward I Henry and wife Lori of Normalville; and his daughter, Kimberly Jacobs and her husband Jeff of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, who he loved very much, Curtis and Justin Henry of Deatsville, Ala., Edward Jr. and Leah Henry of Normalville, Jeffrey T. Stewart Jr. of Scottdale, and his only great-granddaughter, who he looked so forward to meeting, Reagan Parker Henry of Roswell, Ga. John is also survived by his brother, Alex (Sonny) Blaney, and sister, Debbie Mulroy, both of Connellsville. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Henry; brother, William (Ronnie) Henry, father- and mother-in-law, Charles and Theresa DiSanti, and sisterin law, Edythe Blaney. The family would like to thank the medical staff at Magee's Hospital for their professional and caring care they gave to our father and family during this difficult time. Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 S. First St., West Side, Connellsville (724- 628-9033) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30-10 a.m., the time of service with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.
