Robert Yothers Obituary

Robert Andrew "Bob" Yothers, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at the Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. Bob was born Jan. 13, 1930, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late Andrew and Clara Eva Weaver Yothers, who died in 1954 and 1989. Bob was employed for US Steel Corp., Edgar Thompson Works, Braddock, retiring in 1992 with 44 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 446, Slovak, Firemen's and Falcons Clubs of Mt. Pleasant, was an avid bowler and former member of several leagues in the area and a former member of the Army Reserve, Connellsville Unit. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Dee Riggar Yothers; children, Robert K. Yothers and wife, Marion, of Acme, and Kathy Yothers Petrarca and husband, Chris, of Scottdale; grandchildren, Nicole Seese and husband, Bob, and John Petrarca; special great-grandchildren, Jacob and Halle Seese; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Klepsky, Nov. 5, 2001; and an infant brother. The family is inviting friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, 730 W. Main St., Mt. Pleasant, 724-547-2122, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev.
