Tyler Ray Nicholson, 16, of Connellsville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born Oct. 19, 2005, in Uniontown, a son of Cory Ray Nicholson and Brandie Michelle Smartnick.
Tyler was a student at Connellsville Area High School, where he would have graduated with the Class of 2024. Tyler enjoyed all outdoor sports, but mostly riding dirt bikes and quads.
In addition to his parents, Tyler is survived by his brothers, Kelton Nicholson, Connor Leonard, and Tavyn Smartnick Swink and Liam Nicholson; special aunts and uncles, Jeff and Sis Miller of Connellsville (with whom Tyler resided), John and Brina of Connellsville, Bobbi Jo and Woody Swink; uncles, Buddy, Mark, and Tim Nicholson, and several other aunts and uncles; grandparents, Craig and Lisa Potoka, and Edward Smartnick Sr. of Avonmore; close cousins, Angel, Tommy and Destiny Nicholson, Kayla and Zoey Miller, Jayden, Janayah, Johneisa Nobles, Franny Christie and many other cousins and friends. Tyler was predeceased by his grandparents, Clarence and Martha Nicholson and Patricia Smartnick. Now you're free to ride in Heaven buddy.
Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 S. First St. West Side, Connellsville (724-628-9033) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 10 a.m., the time of service with Rev. Rob Allison officiating.
Interment will follow in Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery, Mill Run.
