It is with sadness that I read about Carlo Alexander Stafford. I knew Carol before kindergarten, since her parents and mine knew each other well. She was always such a nice, gregarious, fun loving, wonderful person. I recall our Woodland school days together and our first year we both attended Sacramento City College. She always had a smile on her face, something friendly and witty to say, and always spoke with politeness about a person. God bless her and comfort her surviving family members.

My name is Jean (Duncan) Miller, and I grew up next to Carol and her parents on West Street in Woodland. I was saddened to hear of her death from my brother, Bob, who still lives in that house. Carol was 3 years older than me, and since I didn’t have a sister, she was like a big sister to me. I truly loved her and Phyllis and Howard - a wonderful family. I am so sorry we lost touch over the years. She will always be a shining star of my childhood memories. My prayers are with you.
