Louise Roebuck Obituary

Jan. 18, 1914 - Oct. 6, 2006

Louise "Lou" K. Roebuck died at Alderson Convalescent Hospital in Woodland on Friday, Oct. 6 at age 92.

Mrs. Roebuck was born Jan. 18, 1914 to Adam and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Kelsch in Mott, N.D. She had been a Yolo County resident for 67 years. She was a salesclerk for the Montgomery Ward store in Woodland and was a homemaker.

Survivors include Mrs. Roebuck's sister, Betty Yarosh; her brother, Joseph Kelsch, both of Mott, N.D.; her niece, Joyce Vargas of Redding; her nephews, Darryl Voelz of Fair Oaks, Richard Voelz of Woodland and Robert Voelz of Redding; and many great- and grandnieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Roebuck and her twin sister, Eva D. Farnham.

The family requests memorials in Mrs. Roebuck's name be directed to Sacramento Association for the Retarded, 1791 Tribute Road, Suite A, Sacramento, 95815; or the charity of the donor's choice.

Services: A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13 at Kraft Bros. Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland. Deacon Ed Kull will officiate. A private interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery at a later date. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.
