Timothy Lynn Stephens

1949 - 2022

Tim Stephens passed away at home with his family by his side on July 4, 2022 after a long illness. Tim was born on September 18, 1949 in Bakersfield, CA to Leo and Lola Stephens. Tim worked in the oil and gas industry and traveled the oceans as a geophysical engineer on the Glomar Challenger before moving to Woodland in the mid-70's. Tim was a UCD alumnus and retired from the Yolo County IT department. Tim loved Jazz music, to play the drums, fishing and hunting for ducks and pheasants. He is survived by Julie, his wife of 35 years; and stepchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Errol and Daria; as well as grandchildren, sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his grandson, Keanan and older brother, Bill. A memorial service will be held on August 6 at 1 p.m. at the Woodland United Methodist Church at 212 2nd St. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Woodland United Methodist Church Personal Care Pantry or a charity of your choice.
