Charles W. Meiswinkel, Jr. SAUGERTIES- Charles W. Meiswinkel, Jr., 54, of Jane St. died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, at the Kingston Hospital after a brief illness. Born March 25, 1964 in Kingston; he was the son of the late Charles Sr. and Rose Meiswinkel. He was employed for over 25 years at Morgan Linen Co. in Saugerties. Charlie was an active Member of the Saugerties Fire Dept. and a Life Member and Trustee of the CA Lynch Fire Co. Many a Christmas morning Charlie would be found on the back of the CA Lynch Truck, doing what he loved, distributing candy to the children in the Village of Saugerties as Santa Claus. He was also a member of the Royal Order of Nut Busters. Survivors include his wife, Dawn; one daughter, Tracy Meiswinkel; children: Danielle, David, and Jenna Weaver; grandson, Kenneth Wells, Jr.; and four sisters: Edna Meiswinkel, Marie Farrell, Kate Mastandrea, and Ruth Quick. His Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Corner of John and Lafayette Sts. Interement will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
