Daniel T. Landi KINGSTON- Daniel T. Landi, 79, of Kingston, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late John and Adelaide Landi. He was raised in Sleightsburgh, and as a teenager moved to Kingston. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and woodworking, and loved his dogs. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he retired after 30 years as a maintenance mechanic with the Kingston Housing Authority, and most recently was employed for over 17 years by Ulster County Buildings and Grounds at the County Courthouse. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty; daughters, Anne Gogg and Cindy (Vincent) Rapp; three granddaughters, Danielle (Brett) Reynolds, Kayleigh Rapp and Noelle (Daniel Marchetti) Gogg; and a great-granddaughter, Savannah Rose Reynolds. He is also survived by a sister, Helen (Donald) Van Etten and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by two brothers, Edwin and John Landi. The funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway Ulster Park, Rev. Eugene J. Grohe, celebrant. Burial with military honors by Joyce-Schirick VFW Post 1386 Honor Guard will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
