I always thought if there were anyone at all that could have such a huge impact on my life, it would be you ... And I was right!

I'm lost without you Efthemios!

It's a mighty empty city without your spark and smile. As I wander about and stop along the way at the many places we often frequented, I think of you and all the great times we shared. No one can ever fill your shoes, no can ever match your wit no matter how hard they try! It's amazing how much difference one person can have on a city 8.245 million.

You were unique - not one in a million but the one in 8.245 million.

I have so many thoughts of all the good times we shared over the many years and those thoughts are the only thing that keep me going ... I look so forward to meeting up with you again in the future!

I have not seen Themio since elementary school. We used to ride the bus together and he was always sweet, smiling and friendly to all. Tonight, his name popped into my head because my own son reminds me of him in ways and I googled him. So sad to hear of his passing so recently. He was a special person and clearly touched many, many lives.

If you can hear me please come back. I know if there is anyone at all that could ever come back, it would be you. You are the only one that I know of who could possibly finagle their way out of this and be sitting up on the sofa, smiling and watching TV when I return home tonight just as though nothing had happened. So based on all of the times that you have done this in the past, this is the one time that I would be most delighted to see this happen.

Everyone is very lonely around here waiting for you to come back. Even the janitor who is eating his chicken noodle soup is asking about you. There is a lot of love back here for you kid, and to make sure you that you did not break your promise that you made to me last Tuesday, I told your parents that you told me you loved them very much. So now we just wait and we all know one way or another we will meet up again and when that happens we will be the ones that will be smiling. We love you!

To Ethemios' family I hope you can find the strength to move forward every day. This is a devastating loss to you all, and to all of us who had the honor to know Ethemios. As time has gone by we all long for the days when we were kids, and all our family were here with us on earth. How we would treasure each second so much more. I know Ethemios is at peace , and I will pray for you all to someday have happiness in your lives again. Sincerely with respect and love.

It is a loss for not only his family and friends, but also for the world he so valiantly tried, even to the end. to make more beautiful and elegant. We will miss you forever, Efthemios.

Efthemios charted his course by his own internal compass. He lived life to the fullest, with great passion, humor, and love. Although his loss is so devastating to those of us who held him so close and so dear, I will always be inspired by my remembrance of him and the radiance of happiness that he exuded.

He was the most stubborn individual I have ever know, but if he were your friend, you would never find a better friend in your entire lifetime. For those of us that really knew him, he left an indelible mark on us that will never fade. His spirit will always be with us and our thoughts will always be with him.
