Dear Elsa in Heaven, It is hard to believe that three years have passed already since you left us. You may be gone, but you are not forgotten. I remember you as a member of our small circle at the German Stammtisch of the Kingston Männerchor and Damenchor, which meets very infrequently any more. I would have loved to hear more of your life stories that now shall forever remain a mystery for us. Be happy that you left this earth before the pandemic that has gripped our world for more than two years and that you are beyond the reach of illness, fear, and stress, rejoicing with the Angels in your triumph over earthly woes and looking down benevolently on those you knew and loved. We will always remember you and keep you in our hearts.

Dear Elsa! For you, Corona is a beautiful constellation in heaven that cannot harm you, while we are facing a pandemic here on earth from a virus whose danger is unmatched in history. You are safe from this peril, while we live in fear and apprehension from day to day. Activities for the Männerchor and Damenchor have been suspended for almost a year now, and communication is maintained at a distance. And so, on behalf of our Round Table, I send you greetings to let you know that we are thinking of you and remember you fondly. Even at an enormous distance, you are close to our hearts! Rest in peace!

Two years have passed, Elsa, since you left us, but your memory lives on in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved you. Others from the Männerchor and Damenchor have followed you since you departed. Perhaps you will form a Round Table in heaven together and remember us. We are thinking of you!

It is hard to believe, Elsa, that it has been a whole year already since you left us. There is an empty seat at the Round Table where you used to be. I didn't know you for very long, and that is something I regret. There would have been so much to talk about! I will hold your memory in my heart. We miss you at the Kingston Männerchor and Damenchor! Rest in Peace,
Edith Borchardt

Elsa you were always so good to me for the year I had the pleasure of being your postal lady in Bloomington. You had your weekly routine and never missed a beat. You are truly missed. Rest in peace

Rest in peace Elsa. You were an inspiration to many young boy scouts. You 'nudged' me to achieve Eagle Scout and I'm grateful for that.

She was a lovely lady, and I regret that Elsa will no longer be coming to the meetings of the Stammtisch (Round Table) at the Kingston Männer and Damenchor on Thursday afternoons to converse in German. We will miss her and her gracious presence.
Farewell, Elsa. God be with you!

Godspeed Mrs .Dudy. A lot of childhood memories are flooding my head as I write this. You ran a tight ship with all of us kids from Eddyville. Please say hello to my mom and dad and my brother. Much respect.
