Helene Gregory Everett KINGSTON- Born Jan. 24, 1921 in Kingston, N.Y., Helene Gregory Everett died peacefully Dec. 15, 2018 at Falcon’s Landing in Potomac Falls, Va. Helene married Robert James Everett, also from Kingston, N.Y., in 1941, a career naval officer. For 34 years, they traveled the world. Family and friends will remember her for love of poodles, African violets, needlepoint and collecting shells. After Bob’s retirement from the Navy, they lived in Honolulu for 20 years, where she was a warm hostess and knowledgeable tour guide for many visitors. Bob and Helene moved to Falcon’s Landing in 1995. Robert Everett died in 2007. Her three children, Lynn Cheney, Diane Blair and Gregory Everett; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, will remember her with love. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery in the spring.
