I learned a great deal from Coach and I don't know what I would have done without cross country. We won more then we lost - until today. Maybe that's all you can ask for. Thanks coach -I'm still learning from you..

Cauldwell Family, "pumkin" was the best coach and best teacher I ever had at Red Hook. He nicknamed me "earthquake" when we ran the weightman 220 he was the best. Look in the 1976 yearbook and you'll see a candid picture of him we captioned; "pumpkin and pickle". May he rest in peace and coach all of us forever. Bob earthquake Palumbo class of 76.

Coach was such an important part of my high school days; from the Driver Ed to our make shift track, he taught so many how to succeed and how to work together. He taught more than school subjects. He taught life lesson and ways to be a better person. Many are grateful. Coach had a big heart and he showed it daily through so many random acts of kindness to others.
There is no way you could have not been altered by his love. We all have our "Coach" stories....and every time people speak of him it is with a smile. He was an inspiration and a treasure. I am proud to call him both Coach and Friend.

Thanks Coach! You were a great inspiration to so many kids. You made us do crazy things we wouldn't have done otherwise, and pushed us to heights we didn't think possible - while laughing all the while. And your special gift? You made each one of us feel we were important and really mattered. Lucky us who knew you.

RIP Mr Cauldwell. You were such an important part of the lives of so many students who then went on to call you "friend". You taught many of us how to drive, how to believe in ourselves and how to be the best we can be. We were certainly blessed to have you as part of our lives as a teacher, mentor and friend. We will miss your laughter, your encouragement and your gentle manner. You are with your wife once again, and while you are no longer here on earth with us, we have all just gained a guardian angel. RIP and THANK YOU!
