SAUGERTIES- Jason Sasso, 39, of Rte. 32, tragically died Thursday, March 4, 2021 in Webb, N.Y., after injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident. He was born in Kingston on Nov. 7, 1981 to Stephen and Cheryl Mauro Sasso. He graduated Saugerties High School with the class of 2000. A friendly salesman at Sawyer Motors for many years, he was heavily involved in the Saugerties Community. He was a member of the Saugerties Powerboat Association and played SAA softball for many years. He enjoyed summer boating with family and friends in Lake George and on the Hudson River as well as weekend trips during the winter in Old Forge. He was always the life of the party. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his soulmate, Tiffany Ivino; daughters, Caitlynn and Livinia; brother, Stephen (Stevie); niece, Lillianna; and aunts, uncles, and many cousins. His Funeral Procession will form 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc., corner of John and Lafayette Sts., Saugerties thence to St. Mary of the Snow Roman Catholic Church where at 10 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial be offered. Interment will be at a later date. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home. Facial coverings and social distancing rules dictated by NYS to be observed. Cousin Jason was always a joy to be around. I had the privilege of knowing him from his infancy to adulthood as his early years were spent down the hill next door to my parent's home. I saw him less after he and his family moved to their new home. More recently I would see him at the boat club, always with family. Yes, Jason valued family and when I met his daughter I though how wonderful that Livinia was named after his beloved grandmother Lavinia. I know that his grandparents, his Uncles Camillus, Angelo and his Aunt Theresa and his many great aunts and uncle are embracing him at heaven's gate. He will be greatly missed.
