John Mayone Jr.

GLASCOâ?¦..John Mayone, Jr., 95, of Rte. 32, died Friday, December 16, 2022 surrounded by his family. Born June 25, 1927 in Glasco he was the son of the late John and Mary Buonfiglio Mayone. A lifelong area resident he owned and operated his own trucking business delivering topsoil and snow plowing throughout Glasco for many years. He was an active member of St. Joseph's RC in Glasco. An avid Yankee fan he became a strong supporter of Saugerties High School Sports following his grandson, Chris's events, never missing a game, home or away. Survivors include his wife, the former Eda Ferraro, with whom he recently celebrated 72 years of marriage. A son, Richard and his wife, Joan Mayone, a grandson, Christopher and his wife, Maureen Mayone. Two great grandchildren, Maeve and Walter Mayone, a brother Edward Mayone and a sister, Marietta Carpino. He was predeceased by his siblings: Joseph T. Mayone, Dolores Parise and Rose Sasso. His Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at St. Joseph's RC Church in Glasco. The family would like to thank Amy of HV Hospice for her compassionate care.
