Keith T. Roberts

Roberts, Keith T. Better known as “Poor Keith” to friends and family, he left us on Feb. 1st at Kindred Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla. He was preceded in death by his brother Edward and is survived by his wife Fania and son Keith L., sister Cynthia of Colonie, N.Y., brothers George of West Virginia and Paul(Mary) of Missouri, Godchild Irene Smith (Jud) and his Aunt Margie of Palenville, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Keith proudly served in the U.S. Army First Cavalry Division in Japan and Korea and upon discharge assisted in establishing an American Legion post in Palenville. He was also active in the Palenville Methodist Church, was a boy scout leader, member of the Rip Van Winkle Country Club and RVW Rod and Gun Club. His many hobbies including hunting, fishing, golf and woodworking. He was a long-time employee of Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corp. Since retirement, winters were spent in Treasure Island, Florida with his many “Molloy” friends. He particularly enjoyed his days spent on the “Miss Pass-A-Grille” fishing boat. Cremation will be handled by Beach Memorial Chapel in St. Pete Beach followed by a memorial service aboard the fishing boat and at a later date in Palenville. Donations in his memory can be sent to the Palenville Methodist Church, c/o Karen Ormerod, Treasurer, 7 Birchwood Park, Palenville, N.Y. 12463. All donations will be used to restore one of the stained glass windows in his memory.
