Linda D. Combs

KINGSTON- Linda D. Combs, 76, of Kingston, N.Y., passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Westchester Medical Center. She was born Oct. 4, 1944 in New York, N.Y., daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Frey) Whaley. Linda was married to Gil E. Combs, they wed on June 29, 1968. She was a Kingston High School graduate, Class of 1966 and later received her nursing degree from the Benedictine Hospital School of Nursing where she worked for several years until her retirement in 1975. She then devoted her life to raising her children and her grandchildren. Linda is survived by her husband, Gil Combs of Kingston; her daughter, Robin Parete and her husband John of Accord; her son, Greg Combs and his wife Jamie of Woodstock; her grandchildren, Lauren and Erin Parete, and Leighton and Caden Combs; and her sisters, Dolores Fanning of Lake Katrine and Phyllis Playford of Lake Katrine. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Harry Whaley, Jr., She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Kingston. A private ceremony will be held at the Wiltwyck Cemetery Mausoleum.
