Richard Dwyer Obituary

Richard (Dick) F. Dwyer, 85, of Naples Florida, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2023. Dick was born September 25, 1937 to Mary (Birmingham) and William J. Dwyer in Kingston, NY. He attended Kingston High School and went on to graduate from Siena College with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Dick began his career at Bendix Corporation and went on to work as a controller at a number of Aerospace Companies. It was while working at Bendix that Dick met and married the love of his life, Theresa (Tess) White. Dick and Tess moved across the country as his career progressed, retiring in Naples, Florida in the early 2000's. They loved to travel, taking regular cruises to beautiful destinations around the world. They were also very active in their local church. Dick is survived by his sister MaryAnne Danahy (Frank-deceased) of Southbury, CT, his sister Marjorie and brother-in-law Howard Whitaker of Kingston, and his sisters-in-law Terri Dwyer of Kingston and Gertrude Coucci of New Bedford, MA. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents Dick is pre-deceased by his wife Tess and his brothers John and William (June - deceased). Memorial arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston. www.jvleahyfh.com. A funeral mass will be be held at Saint Mary's Church at a date and time to be announced.
