Richard C. Empert, 86, a Cape Coral, FL resident since 2001, formerly of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at his residence. He was born April 16, 1935 in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Steven and Elizabeth (nee Briggs) Empert. Richard was the Owner and CEO of Rojon and Rojan Electronics in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Angela Bocchino Empert and five siblings, Steven, Tony, Maryann, Betty and Joyce.Richard is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Nancy Empert of Cape Coral, FL; four children, Richard Empert (Sheryl) of Fort Myers, FL, Brenda Empert Hanson (Chuck) of Verbank, NY, Linda Empert of CapeCoral, FL and Nicholas Jerolino of Cape Coral, FL; five grandchildren, Christopher, Matthews, Adam, Lauren and Rachel; five great grandchildren, Zach, Owen, Ben, Olivia and Eliza; as well as many extended family members and friends in both Florida and New York. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Sunday December 5, 2021 at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603.
