Robert "Bob" Brandt

SAUGERTIESâ?¦. Robert 'Bob' Brandt, 85, of High Falls Rd., died Sunday, December 18, 2022 at his home surrounded by his wife of 64 years, June (Hugel) Brandt, and many adoring family members. Born July 2, 1937 in the Bronx, he was the son of the late Alexander and Helen (Nicholas) Brandt. An area resident since 1964, Bob was employed by the NY Telephone Co. for over 35 years. He was also the sole-proprietor of Quality Telephone Service providing service to many businesses and homes in the Ulster County area. Bob honorably served eight years in the US Navy Reserve. Active in the community, Bob was a long-time member of the Saugerties Atonement Lutheran Church, giving of his time to serve in many capacities. He was assistant fire chief of Saxton Fire Company and treasurer of both the fire company and Saxton Fire District. Bob volunteered on the committee of the Boy Scouts, and was actively involved in the Saugerties Jaycee's. Survivors include his wife, the former June Hugel. Three sons: Douglas (Susan) of Virginia, Jeffrey (Lori) of Maryland, and Kenneth (Shannon) Brandt of NY. Two daughters: Susan (Denny) Hunt of PA, and Cheryl (Joseph) Primeaux of VA. Twenty-one grandchildren. Eleven great-grandchildren with one more on the way. And many nieces and nephews. His Funeral Procession will form 12:30 Thursday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home thence to the Saugerties Atonement Lutheran Church, Market St. where at 1 PM his Funeral Service will be conducted. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties.
