I had Mr. Cook as my math teacher 16 years ago. I guess our class was his first experience at RVC. Mr. Cook was a gentle and kind loving guy who loved doing what he did and it showed. I don't remember many teachers from back then, but I remember him well. He'll be missed. I'm sorry my daughter will not get the opportunity to have him as her principal.

We had some fun times growing up. With Jason, Charlie, those memories can't be taken away. A good friend from a very long time ago - I'm so sorry to see you go. You obviously touched many, many lives - you did good work. Rest In Peace my friend. You were a great man and the best tennis player that many of us ever played against. Keep serving those aces buddy.

I am so sad to hear about Bob's passing. Bob was a considerate, fair, teacher, administrator, human being. I knew him because my children went to school there and I was a substitute teacher. When I was applying for positions, Bob was a reference for me. He showed his sincerity about others succeeding. I witnessed the fact that he was so well liked and respected. People like him are rare. I will remember Bob and carry the torch in his memory. My very sincere condolences to his family and friends. It is not fair that he had to leave this soon.

Mr. Bob Cook was a tremendous principal and compassionate companion to all of his students. My only experience with him was through the High School. He was caring, listened to his students thoughts and was determined to find the best resolution to any issue, that bettered the student, staff, parents and all others involved.
All colleagues should look at his tenure and try to mimic his passion, integrity and desire to make Rondout Valley a leader in public education.

Very saddened by the news of Bob's passing. I had the opportunity to get to know Bob growing up playing tennis in Kingston. We all looked up to him and were staggered by his talent. He was just an absolutely fantastic player, and one of the nicest, funniest people that you would ever meet. One of my great experiences growing was going to sleep away tennis camp in Jewitt, NY with my best friend, where Bob was an instructor. We learned so much from him and just loved to be around Bob. My condolences go out to Katie and the children, as well as the entire Cook family. May Bob Rest In Peace.

Mr. Cook was a great teacher and principal who demonstrated his authority with kindness and compassion. He was an authentically good man. He had the respect from all because he gave respect so effortlessly to all. Our daughter felt completely comfortable walking up to him at any given time to talk, tell him what was going on in her day and he was always available to listen. Always. His passing is a significant loss to so many. To his wife, his children, his family and friends, we are deeply sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.
