Ruth Edwy

SAUGERTIES....Ruth Edwy, 80, of Phillips Road, died Friday, April 28, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Brooklyn on August 15, 1942. She graduated from Pratt University in NYC. An accomplished artist, she painted hundreds of pieces in a variety of styles. She was also a talented sculptor. Ruth even had an eye for landscape and architectural design, even designing her own home. Survivors include her niece, Elizabeth (John) Goff of Selden, NY., Nieces Sylvia Merila, Penny Mani and Stacie Ehrlich, Nephews Allen Mani, Adam Mani, Robert plates and Jarrett Edwy. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday at 12 noon at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc., corner of John and Lafayette Streets. A burial will follow in the Woodstock Artist Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9PM. A memorial Tribute Book will be organized using condolences and photos shared with the family at Seamonwilseyfuneralhome.com.
