Anne Teresco Obituary

Mrs. Anne Teresco, 93, formerly of Stratton Apartments, Division Street, and most recently of Hill Crest Spring Adult Home Amsterdam, New York, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 21, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. Born in Newark, New Jersey, on June 8, 1915, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Smuzinski Mruchak. Anne received her education and graduated from high school within the Newark, New Jersey school system. Anne was a clothing inspector and retired from Chief Textile Company in Amsterdam. Anne was a parishioner and communicant of St. Mary's Church in Amsterdam. Her husband, Peter Teresco, passed away on April 9, 1969. Anne is survived by two sons, Peter W. (M.J.) Teresco of Schenectady, New York, and Douglas J. Teresco of Amsterdam, New York; seven grandchildren, Pamela J. Pollard, Kim M. Teresco, Joshua P., Nicholas P., James D., Todd P., and Douglas J. Teresco; five great-grandchildren, Rowland, Redmond, Darby and Meade Pollard and Zachary Teresco. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Anne was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Susan J. Teresco and her sister, Olga Moraczewski. Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 8:30 at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, New York, followed at 9:15 by a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fort Johnson, New York. Calling hours are Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Memorial gifts in Mrs. Teresco's name may be made to Amsterdam Free Library, 28 Church Street, Amsterdam, New York 12010.
