Craig E. Secore

Craig E. Secore, 69, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Effie (Cook) Secore. Craig was a 1973 graduate of Chateaugay High School and went on to proudly defend his country in the United States Air Force. Following his active-duty time, Craig started his 33-year career at the Stratton 109th Air National Guard Base, retiring in 2007. During his time serving in the military Craig was able to see the world. He married his beloved wife, Barbara (Curtis) Secore on September 20, 1980. Together they shared 43 beautiful years. Craig enjoyed his home and loved to tend to his yard. He found joy in music and his classic MG car. Above all, he cherished the time he was able to spend with his family and will be fondly remembered for his laid-back, go-with-the-flow demeanor.

He was the cherished husband to Barbara Secore, and father to Melissa Levis (David), Jonathan Secore (Samantha) and Jessica LaPoint (Tyler). Craig was the proud "Boopa" to his grandchildren, brother of Helen and special uncle to Weena. Many other nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Cynthia and Charla.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville. Interment with military honors will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 12 p.m. at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville. Those wishing to attend in procession are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:45 a.m.
