Frederick Cobb Obituary

Frederick Moses "Freddie" Cobb, III, 29, passed away suddenly on the morning of May 3. Freddie was a welder by trade, working most recently for Tri Valley Plumbing and Heating, a job he loved. He enjoyed four-wheeling and the company of good friends, but he expressed himself best through his music. Freddie was an accomplished and dedicated musician, who loved music most of all. He played drums, guitar and keyboard and was just preparing to record and promote his band's music. Freddie will be remembered also for his sparkling, blue eyes and engaging smile, his sense of fun, innocent demeanor and friendly spirit. He is survived by his beloved mother, Lucinda Lawyer of Rotterdam; his father, Fred Cobb, Jr., of Delanson; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves his dear friends from days gone by, all whom loved him so much. He was predeceased by his beloved sister, Nicole Mae "Nikki" Cobb, whom he has missed more than words could say, and with whom he is now reunited in peace. Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m.

Please know that they are forever in my thoughts and in my prayers. I will always love and cherish the times we had together.

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. No parent should ever have to endure the loss of a child...much less two children. Nikki and Freddie were both great kids and will be sadly missed.

Dear Fred and Cindy,

Freddie was in my kindergarten class. I still remember those blue eyes. I was so sad to read that both he and his sister, Nicole, passed away. While I did not have Nicole for a student, I do remember her. My heart goes out to you and your families. I will remember all of you in my prayers.

Cindy-
No words can express the greatest loss a Mother and Father could ever endure. As a child, we played quite a bit considering the closeness of our families. Our thoughts and Prayers are with you and your entire family in this time of great sadness. May you know that he is at peace.
Rock on Freddie...

May God bless us all in this time of sorrow. Freddie was a great guy and I will never forget him, his smile, or the upbeat outlook he portrayed.
And although Freddie was younger than I, we grew up in the same town and had a lot of the same friends. I hope to find comfort in the memories we all shared. My prayers are with you all...
Goodbye Freddie - I’ll miss you around town!

Fred....while I only got to know you this past summer, I am glad to have called you my friend. Friday and Saturday nights at the bowling alley or just hanging out on the porch watching a movie will not be the same with out you. Thank you for all you did at my home, helping me with all the work that had to be done. You did an amazing job. I will sincerely miss you as someone who I was lucky to have met and been part of his life. We're all gonna miss you......
