Jean Heesch Obituary

Jean E. Heesch, 78, of Rotterdam passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of William and Barbara (Herkenham) Coburn. She was a graduate of the Academy of Holy Names and attended Albany Business College. Jean was employed as a Keyboard Specialist for New York State Taxation and Finance, retiring in 2009. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Schenectady. Jean was a loving mother and grandmother and family and friends were very important to her. She will always be remembered as being the first one to help anyone out. Jean was passionate about car rides, camping and family vacations. One of Jean's favorite pastimes was photography. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Howard W. Heesch Sr., her brothers William Coburn, Albert Coburn, John Coburn, James Coburn and Harry Coburn as well as two sisters Elizabeth Hall and Barbara Engle and her brother in law Robert Hall. Jean is survived by her two daughters Carol Maimone (Orazio) of Rotterdam and Lynne Heesch of Rotterdam, one son Howard W. Heesch Jr. (Julieth) of Rotterdam, her three grandchildren Nicolina Maimone, Angelo Maimone and Isabel Heesch and two foster grandchildren Kamden Crucetti and Ava. She is also survived by her sister in law Marion Coburn and brother in law George Engle as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Jean will be Monday January 4, 2021 at 12 noon at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be from 10 to 12 prior to the service. Social distancing and face masks are required. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
