John Hayner Obituary

John B. Hayner, 76, former resident of Mechanicville, died Wednesday, October 5, 2022, peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam, following a brief illness.

Born in Troy on October 25, 1945, son of the late Burton and Eleanor Filarecki Hayner, he attended Mechanicville High School. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his sister Maryann Chludzinski.

Survivors include his brothers and their wives, Richard and Linda Hayner of Conway, SC, and William and Carolyn Hayner of Stillwater, his aunt Elaine Hayner of Troy, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

John's family wishes to thank the staff and caregivers of the Village Lane Group Home for the exceptional care given to him during his 10 years at their facility.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Those wishing to remember John in a special way can make donations to Liberty ARC, 43 Liberty Dr, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
