Joseph Greco Obituary

Joseph R. Greco Ormond Beach, FLJoseph R. Greco, 70, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Florida Ormond Memorial with many loving family members by his side. Born in Schenectady, NY on November 27, 1942, he was the son of Joseph and Marie Greco. He served in the US Air Force. Joe was a machinist at General Electric Co for 30 years. He loved camping, the beach, and being the life of the party with his family. Joe was a man of many quotes including, I am a man and I can do what I want. He was always wheeling and dealing and he always got The Good Deal. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Marie Greco and his son, Gregory Greco. Joe is survived by his wife, Catherine L. Greco; his children and their spouses, Glen and Kathleen Greco of Ballston Spa, Gary Greco of Schenectady, Darlene and Lisa Verchereau-Greco of Cohoes, Cindi and Shannon Faas of Edison, NJ, and Charity Russell of Middle Grove; grandchildren, Glen and Alaina Greco, Mandy Raymond (Chris), Gary Greco, Nicole, Natasha, Gregory, Logan and Brooke Greco, Gabrielle Verchereau-Greco, Meghan, Caitlyn and Mason Faas, and Tyler Russell; great-grandchildren, Brock Raymond and Isabella Greco-Jordan; brother, Ron Greco (Anne) of Viera, FL; sister, Marlene DeSantis (Arthur) of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, July 11 at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial will follow in Ballston Spa Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. On line remembrances may be made at www.armerfuneral home.com

Joe was a good friend with a positive outlook on life. We were friends in high school, joined the military together and went through basic. He had a magnetic personality and sense of humor that got us through some rough times. Rest In Peace Brother.
