Joseph H. Trumpler

Game Over- Joseph H. Trumpler, 71, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2020 after a brief illness, with his wife and children by his side. Joe was born in Schenectady to William and Ellen Trumpler. After graduating from Scotia Glenville High School and attending Cobleskill College, Joe served in the U.S. Navy from 1969-1973. He married his high school sweetheart, Sharon, during this time. It was while Joe was serving in Keflavik, Iceland that they welcomed their son, Joe. He had the pleasure of meeting astronaut, John Glenn and the band, Led Zeppelin. After Joe's discharge, he and Sharon came home to Scotia where they welcomed their daughter, Jamie. Joe had 37 years of service before retiring from G.E. He was then able to spend more time enjoying his family, home and gardening. Joe also enjoyed camping and fishing at Long Lake, as well as playing online Poker while using the name, "WOOF". Joe is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sharon; his children, Joseph (Jonai) and Jamie; grandchildren, Emily, Joslyn, Jaiden, Jordan and Noah. He is also survived by his brother, Michael (Nancy) Trumpler; sisters, Judy (Paul) Kenny, Mary (Dwight) Jensen and Jeanne Reynolds and many nieces and nephews. Services will be private for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Ln, Latham, NY 12110.
