Dear Ken,
my husband Joachim and I met Leslie at Kiel University at the Institute of International Law in the late 1970s.
She was a very open-minded and friendly student with whom we spent quite some time at the Institute. In 1987 we visited Leslie and you in Philadelphia.
Afterwards we lost contact but followed your life eventually by information given by Christian and Ursel.
We were deeply affected to hear of Leslie's death. Our sincere condolences and sympathy are with you and your children.

Dear Ken,
your notice of Leslie's disease and death have affected me deeply. I met Leslie more than 40 years ago when I first came to the US. Even though our contact loosened over time, I never forget Leslie´s open-mindedness and warmth with which she helped me to integrate into the student community at Duke Law School. My sincere condolences and sympathy go out to you and your family!

Dear Ken & family,
My deepest sympathies to you. I only worked with Leslie for a year or two, but was impressed by her intelligence, kindness, and joie de vivre. We hosted the same exchange student once, sharing the time with her.

Leslie loved her Corgis. We would always exchange funny puppy stories. Heaven is blessed to have her.

Leslie recruited me for her club hockey team in 2018 when I was a paralegal at Whiteman Osterman & Hanna. I'd skated growing up, but I couldn't skate backwards or anything, and I'd never played hockey before. I had such a fun time! Leslie lent me hockey gear and welcomed me onto the team. It's truly an amazing team with all talent levels, and I felt encouraged to learn. When I left Albany to go to law school, I kept skating. I signed up for classes, and now I can skate backwards and do crossovers. I couldn't believe when I heard Leslie died. Leslie was a fun, positive person who brought me to the world of women's club hockey and it is such a loss to lose her this soon.
