"Camp" was a central feature of their lives which always remained "home" as the family migrated from New York to South Carolina and later to Connecticut, where both children became graduates of the University of Connecticut.
Mark will always be remembered for his endless good humor and optimistic outlook, always a source of delight and entertainment for family and friends. Mark enjoyed many hobbies, especially restoring automobiles and motorcycles and repairing small engines. He had a serious passion for Harley-Davidson and was a proud owner and rider for more than thirty years. He enjoyed nothing more than a summer evening ride with Patty. Mark was also a lifelong animal lover, and the family raised many pets, including their four cherished Airedale terriers and a menagerie of rabbits and birds.
After retiring with Patty to Mt. Pleasant, SC in 2017, Mark became a fixture in the Masonborough, Park West neighborhood greeting and treating the many dogs who passed his driveway each day and admiring the local deer and wildlife. Mark was a member of St. Benedict's Parish in Mt. Pleasant.
