Mary A. Blaser

Mary A. Blaser, 95, of Kingsway Arms Nursing Center, formerly of Corlaer Avenue, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the nursing center. Mrs. Blaser was born in Schenectady to the late William and Delia Davies Muth and was a lifelong city resident. She worked as a data processing specialist at the General Electric Company for 30 years, retiring in 1981. She was a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church and a member of the church Rosary Society. She also did volunteer work at the church. Mrs. Blaser was predeceased by her husband, John H. Blaser who died in 1973. She is survived by four siblings, William H. Muth of Sarasota, FL, Joseph D. Muth, Richard E. Muth and Cyrilla M. Hamilton all of Schenectady. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral which will begin Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. at the Gleason Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
