MICHAEL SOMMERS Obituary

Michael E. Sommers, 62, passed away Sept. 18, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Sonia (Martirez) Sommers; loving father of Michael F. Sommers and Stephanie Sommers; son of Helen K. Sommers and the late John P. Sommers; brother of Kathryn Sommers Talbott; brother-in-law of Stephen Talbott; uncle of Jessica and Alexandra Talbott; cousin of Jacquelyn Pfisterer, Elizabeth Hoffman, and Nancy Osta; nephews, Dennis and David Drenzek. Sommers, who was born July 21, 1948, in Niskayuna, NY, was a graduate of Bishop Gibbons High School, Siena College, and the Albany College of Pharmacy. Viewing 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Friday at Daly Funeral Home, Schenectady. A Mass of Christian Burial Friday, Sept. 24, at St. Helen's Church, Niskayuna, NY, at 9 a.m. Interment at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, NY. Contributions to the American Cancer Society.
