Nina R. Fountain

Nina R. Fountain, age 90, former Ballston Spa resident, died on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Baptist Health, Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on March 23, 1925 in Ballston Spa, NY and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruby (LeBarron) Gerard. She lived in Schenectady in her early years and worked as a nurse's aide at St. Clare's Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Fountain; loving mother of Gail Tupman of Ballston Spa; caring sister of Lena Gerard of Ballston Spa and the late Ida Gray, Mildred Gagne, Eleanor Russ, Leona Blackwood and Thomas Gerard, Jr.; dear grandmother of Michael, Jeffrey, Richard, and Gregg. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY. Funeral will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 4 Pine West Plaza Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205.
