Patrick F. Conway

Patrick F. Conway SyracusePatrick Francis Conway passed away peacefully at his home in Syracuse, NY on the 30th of June 2014. Pat was born in Schenectady on April 29, 1927. He was the devoted son of the late Matthew J. Conway and Anna M. (Slattery) Conway. He graduated from Nott Terrace High School. As with so many others from The Greatest Generation, he served his country proudly during World War II in the U.S. Navy. Pat had a long and distinguished career employed by the General Electric Co. In his 45 years working for G.E. he traveled to assignments in Turkey, Mexico, Trinidad and other places where his expertise was needed. In retirement, Pat enjoyed reading, visits to and from his friends and family, trips to the Senior Center, maintaining his cars and the companionship of his cats. He was the most generous son, brother and uncle that one could ever have the good fortune to know. He leaves wonderful memories to be cherished by those who loved him. Patrick was predeceased by brothers, Matthew J. Conway and Francis J. Conway. He is survived by brothers, John E. Conway and his wife, Dorothy of Yarmouth Port, MA, Joseph F. Conway and his wife, Florence of Colonie, NY; and his sister, Elizabeth A. (Conway) Jagelski of Keene, NH. He was an active uncle to his many, many nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are in care of Daly Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Schenectady at a date and time to be announced.
