Richard Clingerman Obituary

Richard Leo Clingerman of Rexford, NY, 80, passed at his home on 9/10/23. Richard grew up in West Virginia and was a proud graduate of West Virginia University's electrical engineering program. He worked for the General Electric Company his entire career spending 22 years working in Erie, PA in the

rapid transit and locomotive division, and his remaining time with the turbine division in Schenectady, NY. Richard loved years of motorboating on Lake Erie and RV'ing across all the United States and Canada.

Richard is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda Oliver Clingerman. His children David Clingerman (Dave) of Pittsburgh, PA, Brian Clingerman of Woodbridge, VA, and Michele (Jim) Brown of Stillwater, NY, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, as well as his brother, Daniel Clingerman of Tomahawk, WV. In the words of his youngest grandson, "Opa was a quiet, kind, loving man who loved his family." His family will miss him terribly. There will be a private memorial service in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the City Mission in Schenectady, NY. Please visit www.catricalafuneralhome.com.
