Rose Pirrone

Rose Pirrone Schenectady - Rose Pirrone passed away on February 11, 2024 in Amsterdam, New York. Rose celebrated her 95th birthday on November 20, 2023, marked by an outpouring of loving wishes from her family and friends.
Rose was pre-deceased by her husband of 71 years, Cosmo Pirrone; her sons, Ralph and Cosmo Pirrone; and her grandson, Alec Talcott. She is survived by her daughter Josephine (Bill Brusse) Pirrone; her son Andrew Pirrone; Dotti Talcott, whom she cherished like a daughter; two of her brothers, Joe and Phil Franchina; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews who loved and will miss their Aunt Rosie.
She was an extremely talented craftsperson, creating beautiful needlework pieces. Many of her original designs were published in craft magazines and books.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral, which will begin, Monday February 19, 2024, at 10:15 a.m. at the Gleason Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 810 Union Street, Schenectady, where the Mass of Christian will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday, February 18, from 3 until 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville, following the mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
