Rosemarie Friello

Rosemarie Friello, 95, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday September 17, 2023. A life-long resident of Schenectady, she was born on August 28, 1928 to the late Eugene and Concetta Castiglia Sindoni. After graduating from Nott Terrace High School, she briefly worked at General Electric. On September 13, 1947 she married the late Edward Friello, and together they raised three children. Rosemarie enjoyed ceramics, playing golf, traveling, reading, doing puzzles, watching tennis, and most of all, spending time with her family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Matthew Sindoni, Joseph Sindoni, and Connie Tamburello.

Rosemarie is survived by her children, Ron Friello, Terry (Mary) Friello, Laurie (James) Goltry; grandchildren, Amy (Dan) McGinn, Lisa (David) Pidgeon, Chris Friello, Scott (Val) Friello, Michael (Tara) Friello, Brittany (Jason) Silvertooth, Sierra Goltry; great grandchildren, Kelsey, Riley, Teagan, Danny, Nicholas, Gianna, Dylan, Marli, Maci, Vincent, Aiden; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday September 23rd from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave, Rotterdam, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. She will then be interred at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Colonie.
