TERESA RICCIO MASTROIANNI

Teresa Riccio Mastroianni, 71, at rest Friday November 12, 2010. Teresa was born in Ruviano, Italy on November 9, 1939, the daughter of the late Carmine and Domenico Riccio. She was educated in Italy and the United States. Teresa loved to cook and entertain family and friends. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, always showing concern for the well being of others. She helped her brothers and sisters come to the United States. Teresa was also devoted to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, where she participating in various activities including the Women's Society. For enjoyment she loved to paint portraits of family and friends. Teresa was the wife of the late Antonio Mastroianni. Mother of Angela Lippiello (Pat), Fred Mastroianni (Rae-Ann), Anthony Mastroianni (Kay). Grandmother to Jessica, Cassandra, Maria, Anthony, and Angela. Sister of Cristoforo Riccio, Joseph Riccio (Maria), Antonio Riccio (Anna), Paolina Battista (Ulysee), Maria Tomaselli (George), Luisa Mastroianni (Nick), and Leone Riccio of Italy. Teresa is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins. Family and friends are invited to calling hours, which will be held Tuesday, November 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue, Rotterdam and to funeral services to begin Wednesday 8:15 a.m. at the funeral home, followed at 9 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Schenectady. Entombment will follow in Schenectady Memorial Park. Teresa's family wishes to give special thanks to: Drs. Gasson and Romero from St. Peter's Cancer Care and Community Hospice of Albany County and to the Hospice Inn nurses and staff. Thanks also to family and friends who provided Teresa comfort during her final days, with prayers, cards and miracle pies. And to Father Hohenstein and Father Jun for your prayers and blessings; thank you "Teacher Dany" and the many friends from art class and church, cousin, Antoinette and all the cousins from Connecticut and Utica.
