Vera Russo

Vera Troiano Russo, of Chrisler Avenue, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Schenectady and was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. Since 1991 she was the proprietor of Camillo's Lounge on State Street. For many years she worked at The City Squire and Hogans Town House. Vera found joy being surrounded by family and her loyal customers at Camillo's Lounge. She derived a great deal of pleasure from her daughter's dog, Ruby. They enjoyed each other's company and were companions for one another. Survivors include her daughters, Deborah (Willam) Mone of Florida and Cheryl Boyzer of Rotterdam; and sister, Lenora Zeno of Schenectady. She is also survived by several nieces, great-nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Dominick Troiano and her sister, Jean DeNovio. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 8:30 a.m. from The DeLegge Funeral Home, 1346 Chrisler Avenue, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Calling hours at the DeLegge Funeral Home will be on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Sts. Cyril and Method Cemetery.
