Father Gaffigan was my priest growing up, and what an incredible man he was. I was very sick as a child and teenager making church difficult to attend each week. Father often said special prayers and even made house visits. He offered encouragement, guidance, and love to his community. He was a true gift to Canajoharie.

Father, it was a privilege to serve under you as an altar server and later on as also altar server instructor for many years in St. Peter & Paul. You were a very intelligent man and someone who I will always remember as incredibly dedicated to the vocation. Your passion for the priesthood was unmatched. Fr. Gaffigan was our pastor from 1981 until his retirement 2009. I worked with him as parish council secretary and I wrote the weekly bulletin. He was a friend and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace our dear friend. Dave and Barbara Wheeler

It was a pleasure that Father Gaffigan served our Parish of St. Peter & Paul's. My son was an altar server for him for many years. After retirement we still missed him. Times change but the memories stay with us. May he be loved for his service to our Lord and Rest In Peace. God Bless his soul, my prayers are with him.
