Yolanda Stepnowski Obituary
She was born in Schenectady on July 30, 1940 daughter of the late Pietro and Mariangela (DiSalvatore) Coppola and educated in Schenectady schools. On July 16, 1960, she was united in marriage with Robert J. Stepnowski, Sr.; a blessed union of 62 years, the couple was married in Rotterdam. Yolanda retired from the Mohonasen School District as a bus driver.
Yolanda enjoyed the many times bowling with her husband. Her family was extremely important to her and she loved spending time with those she loved. The family enjoyed their many gatherings they were fortunate to experience together. She especially enjoyed times spent with her grandchildren and grand-dogs. Yolanda was a talented baker and she loved to share her creations with everyone. She also loved attending garage sales and estate sales.
Survivors include her loving family; her husband Robert, of Schenectady; her children, Yvonne Morris and husband Thomas of Rotterdam Jct., Robert Stepnowski, Jr. and wife Brenda of Colonie, Russel Stepnowski and wife Alicia of Schenectady and Rachelle Petramale and husband Paul of Athens; a brother, Pietro Coppola and wife Connie of MA; her grandchildren, Hunter and Kenneth, Robert, III, Valerie, Michael and Charlie; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Gertrude, Emilia and Iginia.
The family will be present at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 1 to 4 p.m., to receive relatives and friends. Her funeral will commence on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 11 a.m. from St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2777 Albany St., Schenectady where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Procession will follow to Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna where she will be laid to rest. To offer condolences or light a candle, please visit www.demarcostonefuneralhome.com.
