Yves Desbiens

Yves Desbiens, 85, passed away Sunday May 23, 2021. Yves was born in Quebec, Canada one of 13 children to Laurette and Arthur Desbiens. Yves and his wife, Fleurette, whom he married in 1959, immigrated to the United States in early sixties settling in Fitchburg, MA. While still a young couple they relocated to the Schenectady area where they have called home ever since. Yves was a drywall installer and later a Manager with A-1 Interiors of Troy. He was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens and the Montreal Expos, a long time communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church and loved spending time with family and friends. Yves is survived by his wife Fleurette, children: Robert (Elizabeth) Desbiens, Richard (Susan) Desbiens and Carole (Mark) Dame, grandchildren: Ricky, Jessica, Danny, Christian, Marissa, Andrew, Mitchell, Jacob and Sarah, siblings: Cecil Sauve, Maurice Desbiens, Lise Desbiens and Andre Desbiens and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be Thursday 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
