Alexander Heldt Obituary

Alexander "Lou 2" Heldt Sr. A visitation for Alexander "Lou 2" Heldt Sr., 52, will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today, at the Larry Laschen Community Center, 294 Evergreen, Vernon Hills. Burial will be private. He died suddenly Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006. Alexander was born Feb. 20, 1954, in Furth, Germany, and came to America in 1957. He graduated from Libertyville High School in 1972 and lived the bulk of his life in Lake County. Alexander was an avid reader of the Bible, loved Harley Davidsons, bald eagles, the Dave Clark 5, lions, and his beloved companion, Berlin. Alexander seldom said "good-bye," he often said "hello good-bye." His passion for life will be missed by many. Alexander is survived by his grandmother, Helene Wald of Germany; his mother, Maria Will and son, Alexander Jr., both of Grayslake; his granddaughter, Maren; his sister, Felicitas Blackburn of Vernon Hills; niece, Heidi Blackburn of Arlington Heights; nephew, Ian Blackburn of Hainesville; his half-sister, Susanne Ufnal of Toronto, Canada; and his adopted life son, Adam Weiner. Alexander loved both his family and his second family of BW. He was preceded in death by his father, Horst Heldt and his little brother, Wolfgang in 1959. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Round Lake Area Alano Club or the World Wildlife Federation. Arrangements are entrusted to Warren Funeral Home, Gurnee, 847-855-2760.

The world has lost a true angel. I have always thought of Alexander as a second dad. He was someone I could share pretty much anything with. He always had words of encouragement and great advice and he helped me out whenever I needed it. He will be missed.
