Andrea A. Hickman

Andrea Adeline Hickman (nee Pakan) joined the Angels of Heaven after 92 years of earthly living on July 10, 2025. She was formerly married to Jack (dec) and brought 11 children into the world: Merilee "Lee" Biederer, Jacqulin "Lynne" Klauss (Keith), Celeste Peacock (David - dec), Drew Hickman (Christine), Laurel Hickman, Patrick Hickman (Lisa), George "Rusty" Hickman (dec), Christopher Hickman (dec), Dwayne Hickman (dec), John "J.R." Hickman (Jamie), and Heather Larkin (John). Loving Grandmother of 12, doting Great-Grandmother to 16, and Aunt Skip to 3. She is predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Marion Pakan; and her brother, Richard Pakan (Carolyn). She was born on March 17, 1933, and graduated from Immaculata High School. Her love and devotion to God and her family were apparent in her daily life. She strove to see the good in everyone and opened her heart and home to all. A lifelong supporter of veterans, she was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 70 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed pinochle, Scrabble, and jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of several book clubs, the Fox Valley Welcome Club, The Foxy Readers, and The Silver Foxes. She earned a Master Gardener certificate and was nurtured by tending her many flowers and gardens. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, August 2, at 10:30am at St. John Neumann Church, 2900 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL.
