My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I knew Andrew from the years he was in the EYSO (my oldest daughter played in EYSO - and I volunteered). Andrew was always kind and gentle and I saw him normally smiling. The bass section always had fun - I loved making faces at them during rehearsal to get them to crack up from the other side of the room. Andrew will never be forgotten and earned a place in my life memories.

I think of so many happy times that Andrew and Kevin spent together during the years. I remember the fun Andrew had with us at our place on the lake. I think of how our lives are all intertwined and the friendship we share. We are heartbroken by the loss of Andrew, a gentle, kind soul and an amazingly talented musician. Always here for you with love and friendship.

I have no pretty words, though my degree is in English. I feel for your whole family at this time, and wish you peace. I did not know Andrew, but Erich is dear to me, and I know Tom from Larkin. Know that even out here in Colorado, the tidings bring sorrow.

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time. Times like this remind me of the poem "Footprints in the Sand"...at the most trying moments in life you are not alone because it is then that God carries you through. May the wonderful memories you have of Andrew brighten your future days.

Havel family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. I remember my first year in the Elgin youth symphony. Andrew was principle bass and the orchestra played Beethoven's Symphony no. 5. I remember studying his hands and being amazed with his technique. His talent was inspiring. May heaven be filled with beautiful music.

Tom and Becky,
We are at a loss for words. There is nothing we can say that will take the pain away or help you to get over the loss you are feeling. Andrew and AJ played soccer together and we can still see the smiles on the boys' faces as they ran up and down the field. What camaraderie and enthusiasm they had for the sport. We hope that God's loving arms can be felt and that you can hold the memories in your hearts as you cherish and hold close Andrew's forever presence. He lives on in each of you.
