Carol was such a good friend in high school and continued to be throughout our lives. Though she lived in a different part of the United States, we still kept in touch at Christmas and various phone calls. I remember her gentle spirit and very sweet smile. She was a sincere, loyal friend and a very interested listener. Her love of music flowed out of her to others and I can remember how much she even shared in high school. Carol and Phil were loving partners and as he will miss her, we surely will as well.
We will be with all of you in spirit at her memorial this coming Saturday and will pray for God's peace that only He can give when we lose such a dear person. Love, Carol Ness Erickson

My heart sunk when I read the Arlington Hts., Daily Herald. I met Carol in 1958, when we moved into our first homes in DesPlaines, Il., across the street from one another. We became good friends for nine years until it was time to move on. Though we never let a Christmas go by without making contact, Carol and Phil would always drop by whenever they were in the Arlington area. I am so sorry, Phil. My best to the rest of the family. I will miss Aunt Carol. Although I didn't see her, Uncle Phil, my cousins Cindy or Brad enough over the years, her smile and gentle demeanor served as kind hallmarks when I was the youngest child in the Grimm family. It was an honor to have her attend my wedding in Georgia. Recently she gave my eight month old son the gift of music with a caterpillar piano that he loves. Her spirit endures. Nothing but good memories. Thinking of the Grimm's in Alabama. Love, Larry

Carol was such a lady! She cared deeply for her family, friends and her church.
Those of us who enjoyed her music, her love of good food, and her caring heart will miss her terribly!
Our deepest sympathy to Phil and the rest of her family.
