CAROLINE LAUER Obituary

Caroline G. Lauer (nee Scheub), 80, whose love, warmth, and generosity captured the hearts of many, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on August 30, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Raymond C. Lauer, Jr. Caroline was an amazing mother and is survived by her children, Kevin Ryan (Christine), Linda Tovella (Tony), Michael Ryan (Hilary), Colleen Wozniarski (Dale), and Daniel Ryan (Traci). She was a doting Goma to Adelin, Conor, Emily, Audrey, Abigael, Max, Evan, Riley, Griffin, Caden, and Raechel. Caroline is also survived by her loving sisters, Mary Ann Holota (late Philip), Kathy Wojciechowski (Ronald); her sister-in-law, Diane Cozza (Dick); as well as many nieces and nephews. She rests in peace with her loving siblings Marie Scheub, Dorothy Breitenstein (late, Charles) and John Scheub. Active in her community and her church, Caroline enjoyed singing, baking, socializing, and bringing joy to all who knew her. She loved to travel and had the most wonderful love story with Ray. Caroline cheered on the Cubs and the Blackhawks and was a whiz at solving TV Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Her love, courage, and grace will be remembered always. A celebration of Caroline's life will be held Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at St. Marcelline Church, 822 Springinsguth Rd., Schaumburg, Memorial Mass 10:00a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org.
